Kyle McQuaid, Senior Vice President, J. Walter Thompson
It takes a unique individual to dismiss three years of demanding Pre-Optometry classes to focus on a new career in Advertising and Marketing. That abrupt change had a lot to do with a valued internship at The Ohio State University in the Licensing & Trademarks Office, lead by then Program Director, Anne Chasser. Enjoying a productive and rewarding career with WPP’s J. Walter Thompson Co. for more than 20 years… he has never looked back.
Manager of five JWT offices and Director of Marketing for seven regional advertising associations over the past two decades, Kyle developed the unique ability to incorporate national trademarks and intellectual properties beyond traditional applications on regional and grass roots levels to enhance the brand. He is responsible for initiating several national alliances and high profile naming rights agreements, including Ford Center in Oklahoma City.
Kyle was hired by the Professional Golf Association of America to lead its Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations and trademark use for the 89th PGA Championship as Executive Chairman.
Kyle earned his B.A. in Journalism from Ohio State University and currently lives in Oklahoma with his wife, Tammy and their two daughters, Regan and Bryn.
