Jerome McDonnell, Senior Trademark Consultant, Interbrand
Jerome is Senior Trademark Consultant with Interbrand’s New York Verbal Identity team. He leads the office’s trademark prescreening practice, and is responsible for the research and risk analysis of names, taglines and logos.
Jerome believes that the objective of screening is to do more than “knock-out” candidates – rather, it serves to inform the creative process, and provide insight and guidance when it comes to building a powerful brand.
Prior to joining Interbrand, Jerome worked as a research analyst with the intellectual property law firm Abelman, Frayne & Schwab; and as a researcher with CT Corsearch. He is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), been quoted in “World Trademark Review” publication, and has contributed to Interbrand’s “Brand Glossary” book.
Jerome graduated from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland with a M. Phil. in Psychoanalytic Theory and from Keele University with a M.A. in Criminology.
